QuestionMy son bought two outdoor Nest's one for the home and one for a remote cabin of mine. I would like to buy the one at the cabin but he says he doesn't know how to transfer the software. This is a resale kind of action, I think. What would I have to do?

- Answer I haven't attempted this type of situation I would try to set up the camera you're buying with your own website or contact tech support for the product they are very helpful

QuestionThe max temperature operating range specified is 104 degrees. In Phoenix the temps can reach 120 in the shade and be over 104 degrees for weeks on end 24/7. Will the camera fail under those conditions and will that void any warranty?

- Answer Yes you can. If you want it saved on the cloud you can subscribe and you can save the video and even email it to whoever you want or even the police :)

QuestionI have unlimited data on my smartphone so if I am driving down the road can I still watch what is going on at home as long as the camera is hooked up to my wifi at home

- Answer Yes, if you have a good wifi connection at home & on your phone.. you can watch 24/7. There is no need though, as the camera has options to sent motion and sound alerts that can prompt you to watch when there is activity.

- Answer You don't need a monthly subscription however without it you lose a lot of functionality...10 or 30 day history, person alerts, activity zones, etc. Without out you basically get a live feed with 3 hours of history of still images from motion detection.

QuestionFor car theft: does it take two full minutes to get an alert? Cars broken into and thief can be gone in 18 seconds. Also, my son would sleep through a text or email alert. Can you program it to your phone's alarm sound so you'll wake up?

QuestionThe front of my house is stucco...is there some type of metal mounting plate that needs to be installed to the wall first that the magnetic camera base would be mounted to?

- Answer The package includes all you need, metal base to attach to your stucco wall, just drill it, insert an anchor and screw the base for the magnetic camera base.

- Answer I get an alert on my iPhone/iPad in just a couple of seconds after it senses motion/noise. If it's someone I don't recognize, I simply ask them what they want through the camera without unlocking/opening the door and send them on their way.
