- Answer Nest Support could not answer this question through my chat. I think the designers of camera floodlights have never stepped outside the lab to realize floodlights are commonly installed under the eave to shine light on two sides of a house around corners, versus a wall mount that can only shine on one side. No camera flood light on the market today can be mounted properly under an eave because the sensor will not swivel far enough to have the correct line of sight at this angle. Many regular motion lights cannot even achieve this and they've been around for years. Try explaining this to a 16 year old on Nest Support that has never installed a light fixture.

- Answer Had the same question and contacted customer service to ask. The bulbs on the Nest floodlight camera cannot be replaced. You would have to replace the entire unit.

- Answer This is the latest. It will not work on the nest app but works on the google home app. You will not be able to use the old nest aware on this new camera. There is a new subscription available

- Answer The camera can’t be moved remotely using the app. If you want to change the camera’s view, you have to adjust the camera’s position by hand. You can use the Home app to check the camera’s view so you can adjust the position from the mounting magnet if you need to. QuestionI watched the install video. Near the end it makes reference to anti-theft screws and indicates to secure the camera to the floodlight. I assume that this means that the camera is held in place by the screw & magnet, not just the magnet alone, correct?

- Answer I just installed one and the camera is held on by the magnet alone. There is a wire that you attach to it, and it can be held in place by a anti deterrent theft screw, but it is not the primary method for holding the camera.

QuestionCan this floodlight be mounted upside down under the eave and still maintain the optimum line of sight for camera? So far I have not found a smart/motion sensor flood light that achieves this angle properly without hardware modification, i.e. Ring.

- Answer There is an aftermarket bracket that could maintain the proper mount angle and enables eave mounting as original design intent, I'd recommend you looking into "Nest Floodlight Eave Mount, White (MF001)"

- Answer Yes, when the switch is on your camera and lights will work according to your settings in the app. When the switch is off the lights will not work and the camera will continue to work off battery power. So you will need the switch on at some point to charge the battery when it gets low.
