QuestionA few reviews states they had issues with the optional Ice maker, the ice was dropping outside the bucket, etc. Was this an installation mistake or is it a malfunction of the ice maker? Did everyone had the same experience with the ice maker?

- Answer Did not go for ice maker option. A few old fashioned ice trays do the job. And leave more room and is hassle free.

QuestionI had the optional ice maker installed. It goes above the top drawer. When I open the drawer it pulls ice to the back and drops into the bottom drawer and behind the drawer, and other places too. Spills out. why is this happening?

- Answer I had the optional Icemaker installed also. Mine does the same exact thing. It spills ice to the back of the tray, which sometimes drops down into the bottom of the refrigerator and also into the bottom freezer drawer. My icemaker also does not shut off when the bucket is full. We have to turn it off manually once a bucket gets full. I would also like to know why this is happening and how to fix it.

- Answer I purchased this fridge for our basement bar area so the ice maker was a necessity if you want to have ice available. We considered an ice machine (much more expensive than an ice maker), and glad we went this route with the fridge and ice maker added.
