• A:Answer Hisense does not pay big money to BestBuy for primo product placement like LG, Samsung, Sony. This saves a lot of money from a marketing standpoint that can then be passed on to the consumer. I noticed a bit of eye roll when I said the U8H was as close to OLED quality without being OLED; but I don’t blame them, they’re just doing their jobs and trying to sell a higher price product.

• A:Answer It's always going to be compressed Dolby Digital Plus Atmos, lossy Only a true 4k Blu-ray player will give you 7.1 atmos lossless or uploading using Plex server which is still just downloaded 4k Blu-ray content.

Q: QuestionSo how is the picture quality when program is in 1080 and it upscales it ? Thinking on getting the 65 inch and will only be sitting approx, 7-10 feet away from tv, just concerned the quality may not be as good if program is not in original 4k.

• A:Answer No it does NOT (as of 10/22/22). Just off phone with Hisense support and was also informed Airplay will be added in an update by end of month (October 2022). The manual (page 26) and the Hisense website FAQ for the U8H say it’s available so I imagine the feature was planned when the materials were created but delayed for reasons known only to the engineering team.

• A:Answer That first answer is a non-answer and should be ignored. The subwoofer performs best when in closer proximity to a reflection surface (like a wall) hence why they put it there. Also, if you’re like most people and hooking up to a surround sound or stereo system, then this becomes a moot point entirely. The TV is EASILY mountable to any bracket that has the correct corresponding sized mount, with I believe is 400mm x 300mm. I found a really nice one on Amazon that allows it to extend out up to 17” and can fully swivel 180° and tilt up to 7°.

Q: QuestionI have had multiple issues with this tv staying connected to my internet while my other tvs have no problems at all. I have had my cable/internet company come out and verify it is a good connection. Is there something on this tv that could be the issue?

Q: QuestionHow does this set (with ATSC 3.0) do with the OTA channels? I'm sure the normal ABC, NBC, CBS and FOX channels play decent, but what about the off channels (the .2 .3 .4 channels)?

• A:Answer The tuner is honestly one of the best I’ve ever had in a tv. Other tvs I’ve had picked up 20-33 channels. On first attempt, this tv’s tuner picked up a whopping 47 channels, including some from a neighboring state! Same attic-mounted antenna I’ve had for a decade.
