Q: QuestionWould this gas range require any electric at all? I need to purchase one that will not require electricity to function

Q: QuestionHow do I know when the oven is to the correct temperature? There is no digital reading or light to show when oven has reached preheated temperature.

Depending on the specific model, our ranges may have a preheat indicator light, audible preheat signal, or there may not be a specific preheat indicator. If your model doesn’t have an indicator, we would suggest waiting approximately 10 to 20 minutes to allow the oven to preheat; this time can vary depending on your model. We hope this is helpful. Q: QuestionWhat is the height of the range top including the grates, not including the backsplash? How much is it above the 36" countertop height? This is concerning because I have a current range grate that is 1.5" above the countertop height and that is too much.

• A:Answer Hello there - Thanks so much for reaching out about this wonderful range. The height from the bottom of the unit to the cooktop surface is about 36 1/4". The overall height of the grate is about 2". With that in mind, from the bottom of the unit to the top of the grates is about 38 1/4". Let us know if any other questions come up. -Mikayla@GEA

• A:Answer Hi there, Great question! This model gas range has what is called an automatic pilotless ignition. The automatic pilotless ignition (also called automatic electric or automatic electronic ignition) eliminates the need to light the burners. • A:Answer This is a gas range which uses electricity only for igniting the burners; because its electricity demand is so low, it only needs a 15 amp or 20 amp circuit, with an outlet able to accept standard hot, neutral and ground prongs. The stoves you saw which require 40 or 50 amps are those which heat with electricity - a much higher demand - not with gas.
