- A:Answer Hello Kat and thank you for asking. The HP 1220 laminator has a maximum laminating thickness (interlayer and pouch) of 0.4 mm. Two sheets of cardboard (a sleeve) without anything in between would exceed that maximum thickness. A carrier is not required.
