- Answer Hi Chuck! The two M.2 slots in the HP M01-F3224 are occupied by one 512GB SSD and the Wi-Fi/Bluetooth Module. You can either add a disk drive to the PCIe x16 slot or PCIe x1 slot., or replace the existing Wi-Fi module with an M.2 SSD.and use a USB Wi-Fi adapter to maintain wireless connectivity. The motherboard does not support SATA connections.

QuestionCan a second SSD be added by using a PCI-e adapter with an M.2 slot, and does HP have any limitations or suggestions as to what PCI-e to M.2 adapter works for this PC/motherboard?

- Answer Hello and thank you for asking. The HP M01-F3244 (577L7AA) desktop PC has one PCIe x16 expansion slot and one PCIe x1 expansion slot. The M.2 adapters require a PCIe x4 or higher slot, so it would have to use the PCIe x16 slot. That would preclude the use of a GPU card in the future. Please contact HP Support if you need additional expert help with your question.

- Answer Hello and thank you for asking. The HP M01-F3224 desktop PC (577L7AA) has two M.2 slots, one PCIe x16 expansion slot, and one PCIe x1 expansion slot. One M.2 slot has the 512GB SSD storage drive installed and the other M.2 slot has the wireless radio module for Wi-Fi 5 and Bluetooth connectivity. The motherboard does not have support for SATA connections.

QuestionWhere is the power button to shut the computer off when not in use and why do you have to put a pin # in every time to sign in?

- Answer Hi Ren! Shut down the PC by pressing the Windows key +X, then select "shut down and sign out". We do not recommend using the physical power switch, as it will not properly close the files that are running. You can remove the password requirement by opening the Start menu and typing netplwiz in the search bar. Click the top result to run the command. Uncheck the box next to "Users must enter a user name and password to use this computer". Then click "Apply".

- Answer Thank you for the question. The HP M01-F3224 desktop's GPU and CPU can be upgraded. There is one PCIe Gen 3.0 x 16 slot (integrated graphics will not be available if a graphics card is installed). The CPU can be upgraded to AMD Ryzen 3 5300G, AMD Ryzen 5 5600G, or AMD Ryzen 7 5700G.
