QuestionI need a USB not a wireless connection. I need to be able to scan and save to my desktop in a PDF format, saving several documents under one PDR file. Is all that possible? I currently have an MG7520 which suddenly stopped scanning.

- Answer Yes. There is a USB connection and using the HP Smart desktop app, you can scan multiple documents to a single PDF.

- Answer You can remove the color ink cartridge from the printer, and it will go into single cartridge mode, and will only print black, until you replace the color ink cartridge.

QuestionHow does this printer compare to the ENVY 5545? I am replacing it.

- Answer You'll find that it will be slightly faster than the 5545. Both printers include a second tray to hold photo paper up to 5x7 inches, although larger photos can be done by putting 8.5.x11 photo paper in the main tray. The 7155 also has a slot on the left (behind the door on the left front of the printer) for printing from an SD card like you'd find in a digital camera.

- Answer Yes, it comes with two starter ink cartridges, which are Instant Ink cartridges. If you don’t plan on using HP’s instant ink program, do not install the starter cartridges. Buy regular ink cartridges when you buy the printer. We are using the instant ink cartridges because we were offered five months of free ink. I am not sure we will stay with instant ink after the free months are up in September.

- Answer HP Instant Ink is an ink delivery program where you pay for pages per month not ink. With HP instant ink you will save at least 50% on ink costs and never run out. The printer knows what ink you use and orders ink from HP before you run out. There are 3 basic plans the 50 Page plan is $2.99 per month, the 100 page plan is $4.99 per month, and the 300 page plan is $9.99 per month. - Answer You can print a legal size document, but there isn't a way to make a copy of a legal size document. The Envy Photo 7855 will do both.

- Answer Just sign in to your Instant Ink account and click on "Enroll/Replace Printer" at the top left of the page right under "STATUS" from there it's easy. Just make sure you install the new printer first. Your plan will continue with the new printer. If you are no longer planning on using your old printer, you will want to remove it from your account.

- Answer No the printer does not print continuous pages. You can print 5 or so envelopes stacked not coninuous at a time.

- Answer No the 7155 does not fax. The HP Envy Photo 7855 can print, copy, scan and FAX. Also most HP OfficeJet printers can print, copy, scan and FAX.

- Answer The Envy Photo 7155 printer does not require accessories. It comes with the ink and power cord that you'll need to get started. You can use a USB printer cable to connect to your computer if you wish. You might enjoy printing photos, which will require HP photo paper in the size or sizes of your choice. Also, there are a variety of inkjet paper choices that will make the most of your document printing, with thicker, brighter paper stocks giving your projects even more brilliance and permanence.

- Answer HP cannot see what you are printing. They are just tracking the number of pages you print and your ink levels with the HP Instant Ink program.
