- Answer Hello, I see that you are interested in knowing if the Laserjet Pro MFP M127fw is EL Capitan 10.11 compatible. The answer is yes, the M127fw is compatible with OS X 10.11. QuestionReduce Scanner Resolution for Documents?I scanned a basic 13 page legal document last night that was a 9 MB PDF. Took the same document to work and scanned to less than 66 KB. Can I reduce the default setting for the scanner from the printer? If not any other way to reduce scans?

- Answer Great question. You can change the scan resolution using the HP Scan Software from your computer. The software has advanced setting options to change the scan resolution. - Answer Check the directions. Normally you hit scan on the printer, where you are, rather than running software on the desktop. Then you should get a prompt about where to save the file etc. Or maybe just try going to the printer and selecting scan, see what happens....

QuestionIs it possible for fax to work with voice mail on the same land line?HP Laser Jet PRO MFP M 127fw...I do not wish to incur more costs on telephone bill..ex. dedicated line or a distinctive ring service.

- Answer No. You would think today two devices could both listen and decide who should take the call. The problem is which device answers the phone--once the phone is answered that device has to handle it. This device is a fax, not an answering machine. What you can do is only plug in the fax when you are expecting a fax, and have it answer before your voice mail does. When you unplug it again, your voice mail will still be there waiting for ring number 3 or 4.

- Answer This printer does not allow you to type in an email address so far as I know. You would need to send the email from your computer or other device once you scan the documents.

- Answer USB, ethernet cable, or wifi for print jobs. flatbed or document feeder for scanning and copying. Power cord for the electricity. Small display with a few buttons for user input directly to the printer. Have I forgotten anything? Oh, toner cartridge slides into the physical slot. Paper is loaded into a tray...

- Answer Not automatically. Front and back printing is really not a printing feature, but a paper handling feature--you need to have the ability to turn each piece of paper over by the machine. It's very prone to jamming so it's a good thing to leave off consumer grade products for consumer friendly prices. If I needed this feature every day, I'd go buy or lease a commercial printer priced ten times as high. It would pay itself back in one month's worth of labor. Do you have a month worth of flipping pages to do?
