QuestionThis product is the latest version of Spectre x360; now, why is that the specifications doesn't match the hp website? It suppose to have ddr4 ram, intel iris 640 gpu; but the bestbuy website specifications says otherwise.

- Answer this is a bestbuy exclusive build, 4k is yet available on any other stores including HP's own web store. the hp website is outdated, i believe they are updating it now. "We'll be right back. We're working on some site improvements."

- Answer Quite a few 3rd party reviewers on Youtube state that the pen recognition on the Spectre x360 works even better than the Surface. So it seems quite well.

QuestionCan anyone confirm if this 13.3" 4k model has the 620 or does it in fact have the iris 640??

- Answer I spent numerous hours on the phone with HP customer support to figure this out. It turned out that they might upgrade it to iris plus 640 soon, so they technically "teased" that on their website, but none of their employees knows for sure. Some didn't even know the difference between iris and HD... but the currently available model comes with intel HD 620

- Answer No. The memory RAM (not hard drive) is soldered on. Choose from the beginning how much ram you want.

QuestionHas anyone discovered an external USB-C battery power bank that works with this machine? HP is very strict about not supporting other power sources. Anyone find a USB-C dock that works well and powers the laptop?

- Answer Confirmed that the Anker 20100 external battery does NOT work with this laptop. Kind of bummer, because that was how I planned to deal with the low battery life. I have mine charged to 100% right now, and with the display at 75% it tells me I have 5 hours, 43 minutes left. Battery Saver bumps that up to 7 hours. It's the price we pay for this amazing 4K display.

- Answer The x360 4K has higher pixel density than the retina on the MacBook Pro and therefore has better resolution however the MacBook Pro has better color accuracy and a brighter display. Either screen is great for a 13 inch laptop. Sound quality goes to the MacBook but it's pretty close. What won me over the the x360 is the value per dollar, you can get a lot more for the same price.

QuestionDoes anyone know if the eraser on the Microsoft Surface pen is compatible with the x360?

- Answer Actually it is. My son has a Surface tablet and the eraser from the top of his pen worked on my laptop. He tested it. However, this model comes with a pen and the eraser system is a little button on the side of the pen near the bottom that you click to erase. I like it better than flipping the pen over all the time like my son has to do with his Surface tablet, but it may just be whatever your preference is.

- Answer I get about 4 hours constant use, but my display is set to 100% brightness and 4k is on. If I close the laptop and use it occasionally, then I get about 3 days :)

- Answer No, the laptop gets pretty hot on your lap (just keep it on a table or buy a lapdesk) -- like any other laptop. It doesn't run any hotter than anything else I've used. The fact is, the air vents are going to blow right into your legs so don't use shorts. It is however, the sexiest laptop I've ever used and love it!

- Answer I think it may have just come out in silver. I was not sure I would care about the 4k screen, but it was TOTALLY worth it. I don't even want to use my desktop anymore and it is FHD. Try to catch it on sale. Also, if you are a student, sign up for Best Buy' s Student coupons.

- Answer It does work... The flip side of this is, if the grills get covered, the volume goes down and you need to adjust the laptop such that the speaker grills are not blocked.

- Answer I changed the resolution from 4K to FHD (1080p) and post doing that, I get a battery of close to 4hrs. This is while working on MS office applications and doing a bit of browsing. Browsing includes a bit of YouTube. If you are keen on battery life, go for FHD or a different brand. ASUS has some of the best battery life. I have one myself and can vouch for it.

- Answer The 15.6 inch has the NVIDIA GeForce but the 13.3 inch does not but I am finding the 13.3 inch to be fast as lightning! Boot up time with me logging in and accessing the internet in less than 6 seconds! My friend has the new MacBook Pro with touch bar and she was still waiting quite some time to boot up so the fact that this laptop can outbeat the new MacBook Pro was enough for me. I actually sold my MacBook to my coworker so I could buy this HP and I am happy I did. It certainly has exceeded my expectations! I use it for digital scrapbooking and photoshop lightroom for photography.

- Answer The resolution is 3840 x 2160. I'd say that 4k for sure! It's a very nice laptop. I've enjoyed mine.

QuestionDo you have a model number for the USB-C AC adapter that comes with this unit? I wanted to get a second power adapter to travel with but the HP site shows the wrong adapter for this model (i.e., not a USB-C AC adapter). Thanks.

- Answer Thanks, Paul. I had the same issue with the small print on the adapter. I finally resorted to using a magnify glass to get the part number -- P/N 86066-001. I was still unable to find it anywhere online, though. I sent a note to HP but haven't heard back from them yet. If I do, I'll let you know. Thank you and I'm glad you're enjoying your Spectre x360. I'm really impressed so far, too.
