- Answer Input port on the back of the unit is 5V 4Amp. The wall power source will likely be required, but it should then operate what you need.

QuestionI purchased an LG dvd writer that requires 1,6 amp. Will this hub power it ? I was told I would have to have a Y cable with 2 standard usb plugs to supply the power because usb 3.0 supplies .900 amp (900 ma) per jack. So you need 2 to supply power writer

- Answer To the best of my knowledge, no, this will not work on a bi-directional path. Yes, it is somewhat bi-directional, but I do not think it will work on a play-station piece of equipment. I could be wrong, but I do not think it would work properly.
