QuestionThe unit will turn itself off for no reason. On/Off timer is not set. Did it only playing USB but last night did it for first time while playing a CD. It will be playing then act as if I hit the power button. Doesn't do it every time but often enough

QuestionHi could I hook up a sound bar to this unit

- Answer Hi Benjamin. You can hook up a Sound Bar to this unit by using the headphone jack. You would need the adapter that has two RCA (red and white) on one side and the 3.5 mm plug in one the other. The sound will be transferred to the sound bar. Hope this helps.

- Answer No it will not. It doesn’t need them anyway . You can connect your connect your PC via Bluetooth and play all your music through it though. It’s a great device and will full a large room with music

QuestionCan anyone recommend a specific additional antenna for the radio? I can't get too many stations and one of the reasons I bought this unit was to be able to listen to this particular classical radio station. The antenna is attached. Thanks in advance!

- Answer Just use a TV antenna. They operate on many of the same frequencies. Place it attic unless you have metal roof.

- Answer If you change the source or power the unit off with the CD playing, the CD reads and starts over at the beginning when you return to the CD mode

QuestionWhen my system turns on, it automatically goes to a volume setting of 25 (extremely loud). Is there a way to decrease the initial volume setting? It is usually around 4-6 when I turn it off, but always starts at 25.

- Answer Solved: we had the same problem and found a workaround. Simply shut the unit off with the volume set to 5 or higher and it will come back to that level when you turn it back on. Anything lower than 5 and it starts at the middle setting which is 25, annoying programming glitch in the firmware from somebody drinking too much coffee.

- Answer Yes. Either use a 3.5mm jumper from the iPod headphone port to the aux in, or if the shuffle has Bluetooth you could connect that way.

- Answer No, you can input to the receiver, but not output using Bluetooth. Receiver does have a headphone jack to connect to a speaker with a line imput.

- Answer The intention of the usb device, according to the manual and in my experience, is to connect storage with mp3 or other compatible sound files in folders and play the files. I doubt very much anything that's not like a thumb drive will work. The line in is 3.5mm jack just like headphone jack on the front.

QuestionMy NS-HAIOR18 shelf player suddenly stopped playing all sources of sound. When I turn it on, it comes on with the volume at 14 and a slight hiss. As I change from source to source I get the same low grade hiss. I have had this for 4-5 years. Fixable.
