Q: Questionwill the batterys work with the elite controller
Asked by Anonymous.
- A:Answer Yes but it will only fit a certain way. Textured side out and contacts (when looking from the top of the controller) to the right. It is also a tight fit so I wouldn't put the battery compartment cover back on.

Q: Questioncan you use regular rechargeable batteries with this?can you use regular non insignia rechargeable batteries with this? i have some energizer rechargeable batteries i use around the house for different things, as a backup can i put those in the insignia charging base? i noticed for sale here additional battery packs so im a little confused. also when you state it includes two battery PACKS, do you mean a total of four batteries (2 battery packs)??
Asked by angela.
- A:Answer Hi Angela, with the limited details you included in your question I was able to deduce that you are talking about : Insignia™ - Battery Charging Station for Xbox One - Black Model: NS-GXBOBCS101 The charger includes 2 battery packs that are 1200 mAh each. They are sealed battery packs that have the equivalent of 2 AA batteries per pack. The charger cannot charge loose AA batteries or any other type of generic battery. I doubt that it could charge xbox one battery packs from other brands it is possible but doing so carries risks of fire, explosion, injury, death, electrical shock ETC. As a gamer myself I would recommend an Energizer - 15-Minute AA and AAA Battery Charger Model: CH15MNCP4 I have an older model 15 minute charger that is reaching to be 8 years old of the same brand (energizer). It can charge up to 4 batteries at a time. I am usually a lone gamer so I only normally use a single controller therefore I can charge 2 batteries while I game and if my controller lets up I swap and charge the 2 I just used. The pros of doing this is the specifications of the battery packs by insignia 1200 mAh is a very small amount of charge for something that is supposed to be the equivalent of 2 AA batteries. I own several rechargeable batteries and on my desk I have a AA Duracell that can hold 2450 mAh in a single AA battery 2 of these would be 4900mAh vs 1200 by insignia. That is 4 times the battery life of the insignia battery pack. I also have a Energizer batteries which hold 2300mAh each that is 4600mAh in a pair and 3.8 times the battery life of the 1200mAh insignia battery pack. They charge in 15 minutes in my 15 minute charger. The energizer charger has worked well for me for 8 years using multiple brands of batteries in it and it can also charge AAA batteries at the same time as the AA batteries. The choice is of course yours but the versatility of having the energizer charger over an Xbox One only charger speaks for itself. I have used this charger for my wireless controllers on the Original Xbox, the Xbox 360 and now the Xbox One as well as my computer gaming accessories and other everyday objects. It is timeless unless AA and AAA batteries become obsolete. Enjoy
