“I have placed my Insignia Laser Lens Cleaner in my Sony Blue Ray DVD player and the screen registers "unknown". When I hit "play", it says "cannot play back this disc". It says on the Lens Cleaner that it is good for Blue Ray.”

Please try again later.I used this product on my Daewoo, and Sanyo both over ten years old, and my Funai which is only two years old, and this disc worked perfectly in all 3 combination DVD/VCR players, I know the instructions do say, may not work on newer players. I don't and will never own a Blueray player because, I knew it was a lie from the beginning, and now they are being replaced by 4h or 4k or whatever the LIARS want to call it! There never was a problem with DVD's or the players that a little cleaning couldn't remedy! I even have a DVD disc repair kit that helps remove surface scratches from DVD's. Be smart get a DVD player while you still can, they will outlast the new garbage on the market, otherwise DVD discs would have been extinct by now and still cheaper to buy than Blueray or 4h, 4k! I don't get suckered by the TECHNO LIARS or make us buy the junk they want us to buy, heck I still own a flip phone!

I have a portable dvd in my suburban and it works just fine and I used it on my kids everything worked just fine it might be due to the brand make model of your blue ray . That's all I can think of due to so meaney DVDs I used it on with no problems.. sorry couldn't be more helpful
