- Answer If you have your phone connected via Bluetooth and it is an Android phone you just tell it to "Send text message to......" and then say the message.

QuestionWe got this as a gift an I tried to set it up downloaded the google home app on my iPhone did the whole set up on my phone and it said it was ready to use however when I tried using it "hey google" it did not work, I had it paired with the blue tooth .

Please know that this Smart Speaker should be responding to your commands as soon as you say "Hey, Google" or "OK Google". You still can try some troubleshooting to this speaker by ensuring the microphone is not muted. The LED lights on the top of your speaker turn orange when he microphone is muted. For turning on tor off the microphone, you would have to short press the microphone button for ~1 second. QuestionHow Do I Update the Firmware? All I can do is check the firmware from the Google Home App and there is no option to update it It says system firmware version: 105 Cast firmware Version: 1.25.91836

- Answer You need to set up a group, then you can play music on your other google speakers. I have 5 of these and can stream on all of these together or separately.

- Answer Mine also goes thru a short cycle where the display toggles between the set volume and 20, and sounds a tone at those volumes. Happens at seemingly random times, but is annoying in the middle of the night since it's on my nightstand. Have been hoping a firmware update will solve this if this is a problem reported by others.

QuestionPurchased on Cyber Monday, and working flawlessly until today. This morning I asked for the temperature, I got no response as the unit was powered off. I powered it up and noted the time display was flashing, soon after it powered off. Any advice?

- Answer Hello Jeff, Thank you for your sharing your experience with the Voice Smart Bluetooth Speaker. In regards to your question this device is battery operated which means it needs to be plugged in. Questionjust bought mine the other day. im try’n to setup but it always ending sayin’ “there may be a problem” the update is taking longer than expected. what could possibly gon wrong upon setting it up? thanks in advance for answers.

- Answer Taking Longer than expected should mean just that. When I first installed mine I received the same message, I just let it be and it completed the update. Possibly reboot and see if the same message appears, if your far from your router, move it closer for a better Wi-Fi connection, complete the update and move it where you want it.

- Answer You have to setup a new device in the Google Home App. If you can't get it to work you may need to do a factory reset then open the Google Home app and look for the new device. It should be displayed near the top of the screen. - Answer cant see the tweets, I can see the "sub" is about 2.5". by looking under it. these are high excursion woofers so size isn't necessarily a good factor to go by.

- Answer Yes it does, this can stream from Pandora, Spotify, and a multitude of other services. It has the same voice functionality as the Google Home since it uses the Google Voice Assistant service.

- Answer I have not had an issue setting alarms with my speaker, but I have read others have had issues with it. One solution that I read was if you were trying to set an alarm for say 6:00 am the alarm wouldn't work, but if instead, you set the alarm for 6:01 am it would work. Not sure if this will work for you, or if you are still having the issue since you posted your question a month ago, just thought I would try to help you or others that may be searching for a solution.
