A:AnswerHi Dan, the Intel Core I5-9600K does not come with heatsink/ fan or thermal paste. Best Buy does carry thermal solutions for your processor which can be found here https://www.bestbuy.com/site/fans-cooling-kits/cpu-fans-heatsinks/pcmcat339900050006.c?id=pcmcat339900050006
Thank you for choosing Intel.
A:AnswerHi the Ethernet is not coming off the cpu it is actually coming from the mother board but the cpu does make it power I actually happen to have this cpu and the Ethernet is extremely fast but overall it depends on what mother board you have
A:AnswerAre you having overheating issues with your 9400f? And how much RAM are you running? What type of performance gain are you looking for? Your PC specs (RAM speed and capacity, motherboard model/ chipset, GPU, PC case model) as well as what you use your PC for would help. If your 9400f is not having overheating issues I don't see the point in upgrading. The 9600k is faster but for the price to performance increase you might be better off upgrading your RAM or GPU, especially for gaming. GPU will perform the bulk of your processing for games along with your RAM. If your current CPU is overheating look into re-applying your thermal paste and cleaning any dust out of your pc and heat sinks and make sure your fans are set up to pull cool air in from the front of your case and exhaust (push) hot air out of the back and top of your case.
A:AnswerNo compatible your motherboard has a socket 1150 and I believe the i5-9600k is a socket 1151, also yours is like 4th gen and this is a 9th gen, usually I see motherboards from intel support 2 gens but yours can support like 4590 or 4690. It will be better for you look for a motherboard H370, Z370 or Z390 if you really want it, and be careful with the form factor compatible to your case, ATX, Micro ATX, mini Atx or ITX
A:AnswerNo to the simple fact that this series ends with a k which means that it is overclockable and they expect that you're going to put a larger more powerful fan than a stock fan
A:AnswerIt is one of the more recent I5 releases. It is definitely a good start for mid term use. It is a very fast and smooth processor for the price and for it being an I5. It should last you a few years.
A:Answeryes you need a cooler it does NOT come with a cooler . im using a cooler master 120 AIO and it keeps it nice and chill. i had a deepcool gammexx air cooler on it and it worked just as well . i liked the light on the cooler master and it was on sale so i switched but you do need a cooler and get a decent one and no problems
A:AnswerYou do not say what kind of computing you are doing, but I'll look at this from a gaming standpoint. To put it simply, no. But to answer all your questions with detail, I'll start with the difference in The ending of the model names (K, F, etc.). the K suffix at the end of the i5-9600k model designated that it has been unlocked, meaning you can overclock the CPU; overclocking is a way of getting more power from a device. The F designation describes a CPU that does not have integrated graphics for mostly general pc computing. The idea behind the F design is that unnecessary power reserved for the graphics integration is not needed in PCs that are using a designated GPU (GTX 2060, 5600 XT, etc.). This in turn decreases the power consumption.
The more specific difference in the two processors of i5-i7 here are that, typically an i7 model will have either have more cores, threads; basically more computing power to Do more things AT ONCE. To be clear, the i59600k is an excellent CPU for gaming at the moment because games are not using more than 6 cores typically. This might not be true in the future so the real difference in the two from a gaming perspective is minimal, although the i7-9700f might be better suited for future benefit when more cores are utilized in games. I have a device running an i9 generation 10 processor, and running games does not improve between the two. This also depends on the other peripherals you are using. I hope this helps anyone with the same question.
A:AnswerNo, this board will not support the 9th gen Intel I5-9600K processor. The board is a Z75 intel chipset and has a socket 1155 interface. It will only support 2nd and 3rd generation Intel Core chips.
A:AnswerAny mobo CPU combo should go through a boot cycle when you change hardware and look for bootable media and eventually choose the USB if the win 10 media creation file is on there and your hard drives are formatted. Alternatively or to bypass any bootable devices you can manually set the boot cycle to choose usb first in the bios by pressing F1, to get into the bios. If you are asking for recommendations the i3 9100f and i5 9600k are probably the best value intel cpu's right now. Any "Z" mobo will allow you to access higher than 2666mhz clock speeds on your ram or you can just get a cheapo board. Keep in mind the cheapo boards may not have ARGB headers, AIO pump headers, M.2 slots or usb 3.0. CPU socket type 1151.
