A:AnswerI can't say about the stairs - but I have multiple types of area rugs. This Roomba does very well on all of them except for the 2.5" shag. It doesn't seem to be able to move it's wheels well enough in the deep pile and stops part way through (also moves very slowly there, so I have created a 'no go' zone and do that rug manually). I have another 1.5" plush where it does fine. So I would say if your carpet has 2" or higher pile, it will have difficulty.
A:AnswerThe Roomba can be operated manually, the Smart Phone Application is nothing more than a companion application for ease of use or to access additional features like that Smart Maps. An iPhone is not required to operate the Roomba.
A:AnswerThe Roomba i7+ sold in the North American market is designed for use in this region only. The Clean Base used for charging/automatic dirt disposal is not rated for dual voltage.
A:AnswerThe Roomba i7+ is designed to use a soft, non-scratch edge sweeping brush and rubber brushes for removing debris. These parts were engineered to not cause damage to flooring, and we always recommend reaching out to your flooring manufacturer for cleaning specifications.
A:AnswerThat is an excellent question! Not every Roomba is able to connect to a 5 GHz Wi-Fi Network. We can confirm that the i7 and i7+ are models that are able to connect to either a 2.4 or 5 GHz Wi-Fi Network.
A:Answer12 months. After purchase, we bought the Geeks squad two year warranty even though it was a tad expensive as there are numerous moving parts and figured with all the bumping it does, might not last that long.
A:AnswerI believe you would use the physical barrier box while it is still learning the layout and you can use the No-Go zones after the layout is learned
A:AnswerMy home is 4100 sqft. and the robot pretty much cleans my house every day in some areas and every other day in other rooms or areas. It will continuously recharge itself and empty its bin as many times as it takes to finish its job.. It will amaze you at just how quick and thorough it can be! I would definitely not worry too much about the size...
A:Answeryes it can remember multiple floor plans. this is why Roomba offers extra vacuum bases for this unit. you can physically move it to different floors. However i would just buy a 2nd unit. They are that good.
A:AnswerIt generally goes in straight lines but does jump around a bit since it’s not cleaning an open square. I’m not sure what the issue is with uneven ceilings but we have a 2 story family room and foyer, but 9’ throughout the rest of the floor, and it works perfectly.
