- Answer HDMI thru arc is always better. Plug your sources into bar and just one plug into arc of tv.,better sound, less likely to get voice sync issues and easier set up

- Answer Take it back and exchange it if it doesn’t resolve. Maybe it’s a bad connection? See if moving it closer to the soundbar doesn’t help since it’s connecting wirelessly.

QuestionGiven that this system supports HDR passthrough do you need to do anything special to activate it? For example on my receiver I needed to put it in enhanced mode for it to pass HDR content. Is there anything similar for this system?

- Answer The soundbar detects the quality of the video and switches automatically. Please make sure you have not turned off the auto volume enhance option on your tv

- Answer No, it's a powered system not a passive one. Not meant for that. You need a center channel or a passive sound bar.

- Answer yes all you have to do is connect an Optical cable between the TV and the soundbar. Anything that goes through the TV will play on your soundbar

- Answer JBL Bar 3.1 is designed to be used for listening to music both from the TV and your connected device. If you're connected via Bluetooth or have a USB plugged in, the music will be in mono. The 3.1 output will only be available when you're watching movies or shows with that format.

QuestionI just bought a JBL 3.1 and it's Ok for us with both surround mode on and Move mode. I notice now that if the system is turned off for a while, the surround setting reverts to OFF. Is this normal ? /

QuestionI cant get the sound to play through my TV when using HDMI (Arc). I can see that it does connect when I plug it in. My tv recognizes it as a receiver, and it is selected as the audio output. But no sound. When I plug in the Optical it works fine.

QuestionHello, I have my JBL 3.1 soundbar connected to my PC's realtek audio with an optical cable. I'm outputting 5.1 sound and wondered how the soundbar handles 5.1 audio going into a 3.1 output device. Am I losing the back channels or do they get integrated?

- Answer We're here to help with your JBL Bar 3.1. Please try these troubleshooting steps for us to isolate the issue. First, on the remote control, select the correct audio input source. Connect the audio cable from your soundbar to your TV or other devices. However, a separate connection is no longer needed when the soundbar and TV are connected using the HDMI ARC connection. You can also try resetting the soundbar to factory settings by pressing and holding Volume-, Volume +, and Source button on the soundbars' top panel. If audio is still not heard from the center channel, please reach out to our support through this link: http://bit.ly/2lIab0A.
