A:AnswerGreat speakers for the money.
You will probably be ok with the current setup: the speaker are rated with an impedance of less than 3 ohms; which means that they require very little power to produce decent sound.
A:AnswerNot ok. component speakers are meant to be set up no more than 12 inches apart, otherwise the separation will be too much and they will sound echoed
A:AnswerMost every car I have ever been in has the entertainment system focused on the driver. The sound reverberates throughout the remainder of the car. However, it is usually a good idea to replace them all if you are looking to upgrade so that sound is more clear and even all around. Just be mindful of the impedance rating, output, and also input as to avoid distortion, poor sound quality. And most of all, blowing the speakers due to poor judgement on trying to save money like I did, recently.
A:AnswerIt does not come with an amp (I thought it did too). What you see are crossovers, meant to split your HIghs from Mid and Lows; the tweeters will play hights and other speakers will play mid and lows.
A:AnswerNo. You would generally replace the speakers in the driver and passenger doors. If your vehicle has tweeters then you can replace those too. If not then you can add tweeters and crossovers, one for each side. Both of my woofers had factory defects. Shown in the pic
A:AnswerI installed them. I'm using a jl 4/300 to power them. Granted the gain is not cranked, the amp is still rated at 75w p/ch. It's safe to say 70w per channel.
A:AnswerHi there, thanks for reaching out. The manual is only a general installation regardless of what model of the car. If the Best buy people are telling you to solder, then you may need to check if that's required specifically with your car.
A:AnswerJBL has provided everything that you will need for most applications. When I say most 98% of all SUVs sedans convertibles most vehicles. is not intended for the installation of ATVs, side-by-side‘s, razors, and or marine vehicles. Comes with a bracket for the woofer that will fit most applications and has instructions to do so JBL also offers more than three options to mount the tweeter. Very good component system. It’s JBL you can’t go wrong.
A:AnswerCrossover is fixed, other than a push button with a 6° variance positive three to -3 specs are included in the paperwork. It varies on your system what you’re pushing what you can adjust, etc.
