QuestionHas anyone has used this speaker in a running boat? I want to know that it can be clearly heard at say 40mph with a 4 stroke outboard running.

- Answer I Bought 2 for my boat this weekend. I could clearly hear the music at 3500 RPM's with a inboard/outboard 6 cylinder. Don't expect it to shake your bones, but a great option for a speaker you can use I and out of the boat

- Answer This has happened to myself. I find it was from either having the music way too loud for to long causing the speaker to overheat, or activate a protection mode. I let the speaker sit for a couple hours before I attempted to recharge my device and power it on. Using the JBL official app can help you terrible shoot the devices as well. Make sure you download the correct app as there is a couple apps on the Google play store.

QuestionMy BRAVEN was very expensive (almost $400) and it distorts when pushed to 3/4 and beyond. This occurs with punch, rolling bass, and basically all good songs the Kitten are down with. Does this unit have treble bass? Which would you recommend? Thanks.

- Answer Connecting this speaker with a number of devices (phone, tablet, desktop) through Bluetooth, I've been able to bring the volume to the max without distortion. Everything sounds clear enough that I've removed my bigger stereo from my room and only use this.

- Answer Right now the app only allows connection of 2 jbl speakers at one time. Maybe later they will have the option for more in there jbl connect app in a updated version. But as of right now it's 2 speakers. So we need to pester JbL to make it happen because that would be great haha

- Answer The JBL Xtreme uses Lithium-Ion (Li-ion) polymer batteries. This type has high energy density, very low memory effect and low self-discharge. Batteries gradually self-discharge, even if they are not connected to anything. Usually, you can expect a self-discharge of about 2% per month when the battery is new, and this may increase somewhat with battery age and temperature. In other words, it will depend upon the usage of the speaker.

- Answer No. The Charge 2 does not support the JBL Connect feature. As of now, the Flip 3, Pulse 2 and Xtreme are the only models that can be connected. The upcoming Charge 3 will have that capability according to JBL's site.
