QuestionI have an 1800.1 kicker amp I'm running a secondary battery my speaker is a 12.2 Orion 4000 Watt Max 2500 RMS it seems to be hitting just fine but when I crank it for a while it goes into protect mode what could be the possible problem .?"

- Answer I had 2 of these wired at 1 OHM pushing 4 10" kicker Comp Qs and never had a problem. I will say theres a 43CXA1800 and theres a 46CXA1800. The 43 is only 2 OHM stable. It should be on the sticker on the back of the amp or 1800 will be in white numbers if its 2 OHM stable kinda greyish if 1 OHM stable. Hope this helps

- Answer As long has the two Rockville subs don't draw any more power than 1800 RMS or 3600 Peak at 20

QuestionI have a 1800.1 2019 so cx 1800.1 it runs 1ohm also I got 2 4 ohm crossfire c5 d4 ohm will I have any issue

- Answer No you will be fine I’m running 2 L7 d4 ohm and there wired 1ohm with the same amp, be careful you don’t over power them that amp packs a punch for being so small

- Answer Are you bridging the amplifier? What size fuse are you running? The cxa1800.1 says to use a 150a fuse

- Answer It does but it’s underpowered but nothing wrong with that. But if you’re looking for recommended rms power than the KXA2400.1 is the amp that’d be perfect for dual 15” L7 q class subwoofers

QuestionI bought this amp with my car already pre-wired. Hooked everything up the same as my old kicker 1200 watt amp. Still getting no power to the amp. Is it because of the wire gauge? I have 4 awg wire ran to the battery. Does it have to be a 0/1 AWG?

- Answer I'm using 4 gauge wire with no issues.My guess is that the ground wire is not grounded to the car frame properly. I have the 1800 watt kicker amp.It also recommends using 0 gauge wire.
