• A:Answer you can use this amp but it will only output 300 watts at 2ohms. this amp is rated 500 watts rms at 1ohm. I have this amp paired with a dc audio level 2 at 2ohms and it thumps.

• A:Answer Because 2 x 240W plus 2 x300W is more than the 400w amp could supply. Under powering speakers can harm the coils in it .

• A:Answer The KICKER CXA400.1 Mono-Block Subwoofer Amplifier is designed to produce 400 Watts RMS into a 1-ohm load. The CWR102 is a dual voice coil 2-ohm subwoofer, so your options when wiring up both coils is either in series for a 4-ohm load or in parallel for a 1-ohm load. Wire the subwoofer in series to the CXA400.1 and you will be supplying plenty of power to meet the 400-Watt RMS Rating of the subwoofer. KICKER recommends using an amplifier that is rated to produce +/- 20% Watts RMS of your speaker systems total RMS rated power. So, with a 400 Watt RMS rated speaker like the CWR102, KICKER recommends using an amplifier that falls within the 320-480 Watts RMS range. The KICKER CXA400.1 would work well in this situation. • A:Answer This amp is mainly designed for a single subwoofer. That was the purpose for my purchase of this amp. This is a mono amp. If you install this amp on any component speakers I would assume that the speakers would get damaged since the RMS value of this amp is high. For speakers I would look for a 4 channel amplifier with RMS at 75 per channel. That way you can amp up all four of your speakers consistently.

You could parallel wire the subwoofers to make each one a 2-ohm driver and then parallel wire your two subs for a 1-ohm load at the amplifier. KICKER recommends using an amplifier that is rated to produce +/- 20% Watts RMS of your speaker systems total RMS rated power. So, with a 500 Watt RMS rated speaker system (2 R2 12" subwoofers), KICKER recommends using an amplifier that falls within the 400-600 Watts RMS range. The KICKER CXA400.1 would work well in this situation. We always recommend setting the gains properly and do not operate your amplifier into clipping. • A:Answer First off what you need is a 4 channel amp to run that set up, however the Kicker CX-400 is a good starter amp for the average and above installers. you won't win best sound but if you're looking for a good upgrade you'll be pleased, it packs a punch when running this amp with a 10-12 inch woofer. A good 4 channel amp is dependent on the music you mostly listen to, heavy bass music like rap Kicker, JBL provides that support, clarity I would do Alpine, Kenwood, Pioneer. Key point always look at the RMS rating not max rating. hope this helped.
