A:Answerberk, the downdraft has a 3-speed fan control that can be adjusted to cooking needs, effectively removing steam, grease, and odors from the air. For location requirements and cabinet dimensions, please see pages 3-4 of the Installation Instructions: https://www.kitchenaid.com/content/dam/global/documents/201611/installation-instructions-W10848428-RevB.pdf.
A:AnswerI have not had it that long but most of the surface seems scratch resistant but i’m Careful to lift my pans not drag them. This cooktop does need cleaning with glass cooktop cleaning after every use but I imagine all glass cooktops do! There aren’t many choices for downdrafts that I was replacing.

Burned on soil can be removed from the ceramic glass cooktop surface by following three steps:
Step 1: Remove food/residue with a scraper designed for ceramic glass cooktops.
For best results, use scraper while the cooktop is still warm, but not hot to the touch. It is recommended to wear an oven mitt while scraping the warm cooktop.
Hold the scraper at approximately a 45° angle against the glass surface and scrape the residue. It will be necessary to apply pressure in order to remove the residue.
Allow the cooktop to cool down before proceeding to Step 2.
Step 2: Apply a few dime-sized drops of affresh® cooktop cleaner / ceramic glass cooktop cleaner to the affected areas. Rub the affresh® cleaner onto the cooktop surface with the blue cooktop scrubbing pad. Reasonable pressure is needed to remove stubborn stains. Allow the cleaner to dry to a white haze before proceeding to Step 3.
Step 3: Polish with a clean, dry cloth or a clean, dry paper towel. Repeat the Steps 1 – 3 as necessary for stubborn or burned-on stains.
Not all stains can be removed. https://producthelp.kitchenaid.com/Cooking/Cooktops/Electric_Cooktop/Cleaning_and_Maintenance/Ceramic_Glass_Cooktop_-_Electric_and_Induction_Cooktop

A:AnswerHello, we currently do not have this model in white, but will pass this along for further consideration. Thank you for your inquiry on our KitchenAid appliances.
A:AnswerDid not have gas unit, electric unit installed. The first 3 units that the installer attempted to install were all defective. However, the 4th one was installed and works well. My only complaint: It scratches easily so you have to be very careful when placing cookware on it. Otherwise, it is ok.
