A:Answer I had the Geek Squad do the installation so I can't speak with a great deal of certainty, but I'm sure you can use standard speaker wire. However, since they are in-wall speakers, the wire would have to be run through the wall structure and might have to come near electrical wiring. This could cause feedback in the line. With this said, I imagine the Geek Squad used shielded speaker wire.
