This Klipsch architectural speaker features a 6-1/2" polymer cone woofer and a large motor structure for high sensitivity and strong bass output. A 1" polymer dome tweeter distributes smooth, clear highs over a wide area.
Q: What kind of wiring is needed
A: I had the Geek Squad do the installation so I can't speak with a great deal of certainty, but I'm sure you can use standard speaker wire. However, since they are in-wall speakers, the wire would have to be run through the wall structure and might have to come near electrical wiring. This could cause feedback in the line. With this said, I imagine the Geek Squad used shielded speaker wire.
Q: Can the cover be painted to match the wall color?
A: Yes, the screens are paintable.
Q: Can you install in- wall speakers ?
A: Yes
A: The R-1650-W speaker has a mounting depth of 4 inches. It should work fine in the application you are attempting.
A: No, they will not. These speakers are recommended for matching with the Reference Line. You will want to look at the R-5650-W II for best tonal match with the Reference Premier series.
A: The total dimensions of the frame of the speaker is as follows: 14.3” (36.3cm) H x 9.3” (23.6cm) W
Q: how do you connect it to your phone i have 10 of them but i don’t know how to connect to play music.
A: The R-1650-W in-wall speakers are passive. They will need to be connected via bare wire to an AV receiver or amplifier to power them. From there, you should be able to connect an audio source via Bluetooth or compatible cables.
Q: What does "architectural" mean regarding speaker type? And are these 2 or 3 way speakers?
A: It means they need to be built-in to the wall (made a permanent part of the architecture of the building.)
