“Will these speakers work on a carpeted floor or will it effect the sound?”

Ideally the speakers should be placed at a height in which the top horn is close to eye/ear level (this will ensure optimal imaging of the sound). The speakers can be placed on a carpeted floor but there may be frequencies that are lost depending on the listening position and room acoustics.
