- Answer Yes, this microwave comes set up to vent "inside the house", however it can still be converted to vent exterior to the house.

- Answer 15 1/2” tall 30” wide (opening) From the wall it’s out about 16” It’s hard to get an accurate measurement with all the glue holding the door together.

- Answer YES. The outer dimensions are about the same (fits a standard opening). Only the interior size is a little bigger than the 1.6

QuestionWill this last longer than the LG LMV1762st? I have had that microwave for three years and it died after year two. I replaced the magnetron and it worked for another year. Now it no longer heats food. The magnetron died again. How does it last over time?

- Answer The plastic somehow apparently reacted negatively to dawn dish soap mixed with warm water. The plastic molding literally crumbled. The framing around the door and the door itself consists more of “Gorilla Glue Epoxy” than it does of the factory plastic.

QuestionThe LG video says the microwave bottom should be 30” from the cooktop. Is that correct? My current setup is only about 18” from the bottom of the microwave to the top of the stove top.

- Answer I noticed the same thing, and when I measured out 30 inches, it reached the bottom of the cabinet where the microwave should be mounted. This microwave when mounted is actually higher above the stovetop than the one it replaced. I think the 30" requirement is a mistake.

QuestionMy contractor asked me to purchase a micro hood and a vent, are those included? I currently don't have it because my kitchen is still in remodel mode. If it's not included, is there a particular size I need to look for and what kind of brand?

- Answer The vent is included and normally is with over the range stoves. Don’t confuse this with and exhaust as one takes the air to the outside of the house and one just filters light smoke and smells when cooking smelly fish or baking in the oven. The vent has small filters that do need to be cleaned and replaced every so often and people who cook a lot of fried foods really should clean the bottom of their microwave a lot. As this will keep a good microwave from lasting 10 years to only 5 or 7 tops.

- Answer Yes it does have lights. Not sure of the wattage, however, unscrew underneath and pop out the bulb and replace.

QuestionIs there an above the oven mounted LG model or models of a microwave that can be for use with 15 in depth cabinets since the answer I got back on this forum was that the model I purchased will only work with 13 in depth cabinets. Thank you.

- Answer There is no reason that this microwave can’t be used with 15”deep cabinets. You will have to build out the space behind the mounting plate that attaches to the bottom of the microwave though, with solid wood 2” thick and securely attached to wall studs.The mounting plate is what carries the weight of the microwave and it’s contents. Secure the wood piece to the wall properly and the mounting plate to it thoroughly and you’ll be good to go.

- Answer We replaced a 16h x 16d x 29.88w microwave and this one is only a little shorter in depth. I figured if there’s enough room to open the microwave door I should be good. The microwaves are normally around the same size it’s the door on them I noticed that makes the extra couple inches. But always measure just to be safe. Most stoves are 30” wide so you have that.

QuestionMy LG microwave has a minor scratch at top of door. There is a cleaner/polisher available but it says for non-coated surfaces only. Is the stainless on this microwave coated?

- Answer I bought an “open box” unit, it had some scuffs, like where it rubbed against something, not really scratches. I very lightly sanded the areas with 600 grit sand paper, less than the weight of a hands pressure then followed up with 00 and 000 steel wool. No one will ever know that it had those scuffs
