QuestionThe image shown on Best Buy shows the end of the exhaust house and the window kit hole is round. I have the exact model listed (LP1419IVSM) and it is oval. LG's own website image shows this as oval as well. Is this Best Buy sold one oval or round?

QuestionCan this unit be attached to a window while a window screen is installed? With the hose filtering air through a metal screen rather than straight to the outside? Thank you

- Answer Yes. But it may depend on what type of window you have. My hose vents through a screen. The vent set up (the panels) are vertical in my situation - on one side of a sliding window. The hose fits into the housing and vents through the screen. No problem.

Since the unit's exhaust hose is attached near the bottom of the unit, a vent hole that is only 6" off the floor should not cause an operational problem, as the unit is just exhausting air out of the room. QuestionWhat size is the hot air vent hose length and diameter?And, does it have a hose to drain water, and if so, what size is it? I want to vent this to the outside of my garage, and I do not have a window, so I need to make a hole in the wall for both.

- Answer I am using this unit to provide AC for a garage, and it is working very well after a month of usage. I don’t know the exact length of the hose, but the diameter is 6 inches. I expanded a dryer hole and found a 6 inch exhaust outlet from Lowe’s for about $35.00 that works perfectly. I just unscrewed the plastic window part from the end of the hose which I think is reverse threaded. As for the drain, the unit is self-evacuating, although there is a drain plug on the bottom of the back of the unit. So far, I have not had to drain out any water.
