QuestionI installed my lg sphb5-w 3 months know. the sub woofer is not working. do I repair it or sinned it in. I bought it at radio shack in riverton wy zip 82501. Ive trade the steps from lg but no deice or go fishing. thank you.

- Answer This Soundbar is compatible with most of the newer TVs. It gives you several options to hook it up. The best is the optic cord which most newer televisions have if not then a HDMI cord can hook it up as well. Hope that helps.

- Answer No, you need a soundbar that will fill the room with sound, and this one will do it. The soundbar is already the length of my 31'' TV, so it's plenty wide. This outputs enough sound for any TV, believe me. I actually have mine over the fireplace with the TV to the side, and I don't notice anything, it fits perfectly with whatever is running through it.

- Answer It depends on how far away you are from your TV. Most people do it just to enhance the viewing experience.

- Answer This soundbar will accept volume control from the TV remote. Program your Comcast remote to control your TV and then set the soundbar to accept TV volume control. In this scenario, you can control volume with the Comcast remote or your actual TV remote.

- Answer I placed mine about six feet away. I believe you can place the sub up to 30 ft away. I would suggest experimenting

- Answer If you're looking to connect this speaker to a stereo system, it's not the most ideal option. It's like connecting a stereo to another stereo system. This thing is designed to replaced stereo systems. It has it's own amplifier, decoder, and subwoofer.

- Answer If you only have 3 HDMI ports, I recommend using the fiber optic cable to connect the sound bar to the TV as it will save you an extra HDMI slot.

Questionhaveing problems with voices cutting out but backgouund noises and music still being able to hearI purchased the new LG 2.1 SH4 300W sound bar exactually one week from today. When I bought the sound bar I brought it home and hooked it up to my LG tv, via optical cable. The sound sounded great for the first 3 hours. I was watching a movie when all of a sudden you could hear the sound effects, but no voices from the people. I changed the channel and then went back to the movie everything went back to normal. WERID I played it off no big deal just a small glitch. I thought maybe the Bluetooth was effecting the sound, but I never hooked it up. After owning the bar for a week now this has happened numerous times, and is getting very old. I will be returning the sound bar today and not sure if I will be purchaseing the same bar or a different brand all together.

- Answer Doesn't sound like it's the bar. Sounds like the signal what we're you watching on what? Was it cable , satellite, HD, maybe HD, Internet,? I've personally heard a difference on none HD channels, and some providers say it's HD and it's not , and some times the dolby signal on Internet stuff gets lost. If you were watching a DVD player something is wrong, but depending on where your putting the optical cable, I have mine right from the TV so anything playing comes through no matter what uniit I'm using , chrome cast, cable , DVD, games
