A:AnswerThe old model was a 2 speed fan, this one is a 4 speed fan.
Also has 4 filtered intake ports vs the older one had 2, with the rearward 2 angling down upon extension of the hood.
The 2 slower speeds are much quieter than the old one, as they are much slower, but with the angling of the rear intakes, and the addition of 2, the suction is much better.
Also just an FYI, the old one had 2 halogen lights, this one has one superbrite LED, which I think gives off more light.
A:AnswerThe only advantage is which you'd rather use. I tried the touch panel on the door in the store vs the side panel and I like the real buttons on the side. It just didn't seem to be worth 50 bucks more just for the location of the controls. Everything else is identical.
A:AnswerYes, Plug ins are mostly standard with the over the stove model microwaves, however you could hardwire direct if you wanted to go through the hassel. As far as venting you have a choice to vent inside or outside.
A:AnswerI paid to have this installed but I am a member of the geeksuad annual services which cost $199 annually. But I did that because I had multiple installs of TVs to be done and that makes every install only $49.95. I don't know if this helps in your situation. It does take two people to do this since the hole is already there from previous microwave it should be easier for you than an original install. It took them about an hour with 2 guys they had to drill new holes and I also had a GE over range microwave before.
A:AnswerTo interrupting cooking you can stop the oven during a cycle by opening the door. The oven stops heating and the fan stops, but the light stays on. To restart cooking, close the door and touch START/Enter. If you do not want to continue cooking, open the door and touch STOP/Clear. ^Daphane
A:AnswerI'm not sure if I understand your question but yes tt comes with the ability to vent, we had to do some work to get it to fit our existing vent holes to the outside but it works.
A:AnswerThe cooktop light should be able to be turned off. It should have a High, Low and off setting. We would be more than happy to look into this issue for you. A:AnswerThe LG 2.2 cu.ft. Over-the-Range Microwave Oven, Model # LMH2235ST can be vented externally in one of two ways, however, do NOT vent into a wall cavity, an attic, or an unused area.
For Roof Venting, if your oven is located on an outside wall near the roof, you will need to use a 3 1/4" x 10" duct or a 6" round duct with a 3 1/4" to Round Ductwork Transition. For Wall Venting, if your oven is located on an outside wall of your house, you will need a 3 1/4" x 10" duct 6" round duct with a 3 1/4" to Round Ductwork Transition again, be sure there is enough clearance within the wall for the exhaust duct...^IFV
A:AnswerOTR LMH2235ST has a recommended 30" minimum clearance from bottom of cabinet to cooking surface or countertop before installation. I cannot advise you of the feasibility of installing this unit with a lesser clearance.
