A:AnswerYou can use the remote to control all functions of the product, from turning the power on/off to enabling
cinematic sound. Soundbar SP8YA features TV Remote Compatibility. It can be adjusted with LG TV Remote control as well as other brands. ^Daphane
A:AnswerA simple HDMI or optical audio cable should be compatible enough to connect any tv to any soundbar if it supports that connection. Also make sure both devices support HDMI ARC if trying HDMI cable. And that the cable is plugged into the arc ports. Then set sound to ARC on tv. Optical audio however is the simplest setup. What were you using to connect the devices?
A:AnswerVery happy with the soundbar and wireless subwoofer. No regrets for buying said model plus the open box price was truly worth the savings. I just need to budget for a pair of compatible wireless rear speakers to complete my surround system. Thank you Best Buy.
A:AnswerIf you know the model name go to LGs website and look it up. They have every manual for everything they have ever sold. You can download a digital version of the manual and print it if you so choose to.
A:AnswerIf it does it would be through optical only. And LGs 'sound sync' feature doesn't support anything over 5.1 pcm. So it's gonna be compressed audio.
A:AnswerThese are heat sensitive type not mechanical on the top of the bar. It does come with a remote tho, and if you are using ARC Input you should be able to control the volume with your other remote as long as the other device supports it......although if you plan on using the works with Google part of this or Bluetooth I would shy away from it as they are flaky on this unit.
A:AnswerIf you mean horizontally then you could do this but the sound will be off center from the picture which defeats the point of having an expensive sound bar. If you mean vertically, then no because there are up firing speakers that would now not face up. While you can do anything you want mounting it, I would strongly suggest only under or over the TV.
A:AnswerI personally have the center channel at about 6(mainly because I hate not being able to hear talking when they mix the audio like hot garbage and one screen is super loud action and the next is quiet audio), overhead and rear at about 3-5 ish, and woofer at 1-2 (mainly because the wife doesn't like it up high and we often use while the baby is asleep. Your mileage may vary, and will also depend on the size of the room it's being used in
