A:Answer Your question is a bit confusing. "4.1" means, by definition, that there are 4 speakers and 1 subwoofer. The four speakers are two front speakers, two rear speakers, and one subwoofer. You can get the less expensive version, the "2.1" which is front speakers, only, and a subwoofer but, depending on the level of sound you want, the rear speakers in the 4.1 configuration are a lot more interesting, and costs less as a package then adding them on later.
