A:AnswerYou will need to check your local building codes or consult with your local building inspector for any concerns with regards to potential code violations with where you intend to install the ENERGY STAR® Qualified LG 4.5 Cu. Ft. 8-Cycle High-Efficiency Front-Loading Washer with 6Motion™ Technology - White, Model # WM3400CW. As for whether or not there will be any issues with installation, regrettably, that cannot be determined without details for where you intend to install the washer. The washer's W x H x D dimensions are 27" x 39" x 30 1/4" and the washer has a depth of 55" with the door open. The recommended installation clearance spacing for the sides is 1" and 4" for the rear. A:AnswerI was just faced with the same situation. My old LG washer died, and when I ordered a new one, I didn't order a base because I thought the new one would fit on the old base. The delivery men let me know that this was not the case. I guess a few changes have been made in the design since I bought the old one eleven years ago. So now I am waiting for them to deliver a new base for my new washer. Bummer.
A:AnswerThe depth of the drum is approximately 18 inches. Mine was delivered with a left opening door, but I believe the door is reversible if necessary.

A:AnswerWhen we first got it I used the heavy duty cycle a few times and the clothes were warm and steamy at the end of the final rinse. It is only supposed to be a cold rinse. Ours doesn't have a steam setting or extra sanitizing cycle so I was confused. I contacted LG support and they kept insisting I had the hoses hooked up backwards. I did NOT! I got tired of trying to get answers so now we rarely use the heavy duty cycle. It remains a mystery to me but, I guess everything is working okay aside from that.
A:AnswerThere is a small door on the bottom of the front of the unit. Open it and pull out the rubber tube. Using a small container let the hose drain into the container until the water is gone. They put back in place. Our delivery/install guy told us to do that every 4-6 weeks cause water gets caught in the seal and this will drain any out. He also told us to run a cleaning pod made for washers every so often to eliminate any mildew or water smell.
