In short, yes it is worth it. If you already know the difference between the two then I apologize for repeating what you already know, but the 120hz/60hz refers the refresh rate of the picture. In other words, a TV with 60hz refreshes the picture 60 times every second. 120hz is double that, resulting in a clearer picture as you are seeing more "frames" per second. The result is a less blurry picture. However, most channels broadcast at 60hz, so whatever broadcast the TV is receiving is what is going to show on the TV. (full disclosure, I may not be exactly correct on that, but I know that's the gist of it). But a blu ray on a 120hz TV will look far superior to that on a on a 60hz. Hope this helps you!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.When we where looking at TVs we it was suggested to go with the 120hz as it would improve the picture quality. We noticed only the cheaper, off brands and older models had the 60hz as the 120hz is becoming more the norm. The picture is really good and much better then our old set.
