I like this TV because it was very easy to get it Working. It has a very nice picture, the sound is good especially for movies I play in the DVD player. The one thing I don't like about it is that I can't Rotate the screen without rotating the stand with it. Otherwise I would recommend it to friends and family.

I have 2 TVs that are this LG model at my home. They are great TVs. Nothing super fancy, just a good working, good looking, well priced TV. It's really easy to set up and use. The picture looks great ( I don't care for the trumotion that a lot of TVs have now so this is perfect for me). Animation looks amazing. I can't say enough good things about this TV or LG. Just buy it and don't look back.

I was looking for a Tv around the $700 range. Saw this one and liked the picture quality over all of the rest of the tv's in the store. Very bright, clean and clear picture. Didn't have the dull look that some models have and the color is very vivid. It does have a glossy shine when watching in a well lighted room, but that's no big deal. It makes it Great for night time viewing. easy setup, a little disappointed it say's 120 Hz on the box, after hook up it's only 60 Hz. Not a real big deal, but fast action shots will be a little fuzzy. Overall, I'm very satisfied and for around $600. Also, the screen doesn't get hot like my old set did and it's very light weight. Has 2 HDMI ports and one USB which is perfect for me. High Def, Playstation 3 and flash drive.

We're very happy with the picture and sound quality of this TV. It was easy to set up, although it didn't have as many plug ins for our old style vcr and dvd players; we'll have to unplug the dvd player to run the vcr. Oh well, we hardly ever use the vcr anyway, soon it will be on the pile with our 8 track player and phonograph. Our last LG tv had a problem with the HDMI cable ports after a few years and our Apple TV and computers couldn't be plugged in any more. The back of the tv may have had too much sunlight from an adjacent window which now has the shades lowered blocking the view of the camellias: a small part of the price we pay for technology. Hey, maybe we could take a picture of the camellias in bloom and have it as a screen saver?

This is an excellent TV for my needs. I thought 47 inches would be too big, but it isn't. It was easy to set up. And it is very easy to operate. My first experience with the LG brand. Very nice.

The TV was extremely easy to mount on the wall and set up. The picture is perfect in a room that doesn't get much light. Will definitely recommend this TV to anyone looking!

I recently upgraded from an old, standard definition CRT television, and I was blown away by the improvement. This LG LED HDTV has superb picture quality, and in my opinion outperforms more expensive models. During my search for a TV, I read some complaints from other reviewers about the weak down-firing speakers, but that hasn't been a problem for me. The quality has been far better than adequate for everything I've tried - sporting events (admittedly with some motion blur, although minimal), movies, gaming, music videos, etc. My two complaints are minor - there is no 3.5mm audio jack and the picture is at times a little dark in eco mode (which seems to adjust the backlight intensity according to the level of ambient light). The first problem was remedied by purchasing a 5.1 stereo system with the money I saved relative to televisions with comparable picture quality, and the second was just a matter of changing the picture setting.

Wanted a 50 inch and wanted to try LED because of power savings and the brightness of LED. Loved the whites. Got a great deal on this tv and saved $200 because of 3inch difference that I don't even notice. Never took into consideration the audio. Never heard a tv that had such horrible audio. Sounds like tin can through a papercup in along metal tunnel. The worst auido i have ever experienced.. I have owned many tvs and never experienced audio that I am unable to tollerate. You need another source. Otherwise I love this TV's picture and everything about it other than the audio that I think I already mentioned. Needs one more HDMI akso but minor thing.

Out of the box, it was very easy to set-up. Good quality picture, sound is average. Only complaint is that it only has 2 HDMI ports, have to disconnect something to hook up a gaming system.

Great picture quality on this unit. High contrast ratio, full 1080p image, sharp pixels, no flashlighting issues around the edges (even at night). The only downside is that there are few inputs and outputs. It has 2x HDMI in ports, which (luckily) is all I need. What it really lacks is audio outputs. There's no HDMI out, no 3.5mm stereo out, no RCA out, only S/PDIF optical; which is not my preferred standard for audio out. I have a sound bar, of which I would love to run basic stereo to, or even an HDMI signal, but with this unit that cannot be achieved. Don't be dissuaded though, the picture quality has more than made up for this insufficiency of outputs, and I have worked my way around it by simply getting a new cable.

After examining plasmas as well as other 50 inch led/lcd I determined that this LG 47 inch had a better picture. It is quite thin, easy to set up, and even easier to enjoy
