QuestionCan I use the optical digital audio out to connect to a DAC to connect to my analog stereo system? My current older lg tv has an optical out but will only work with lg equipment. Thanks for your help.

QuestionCan you explain how the majic remote can communicate with a Spectrum Dvr/Tuner set top box. Will this unit be able to read the guide in the Spectrum box and control or access the channels to display on teh TV? Does the Spectrum tuner require HDMI CEC?

- Answer The magic remote can control your spectrum box/dvr, and other devices as well. I use hdmi bcuz you get the best picture, not sure what cec is though.

QuestionI did not untape the factory screen film protector for better screen protection. Can the pixels suffer any damage in the future? I don't sense any surface heat. Manuals an stickers don't have a warning about this.

- Answer I did some research into this before purchasing. The C8 has the latest and greatest processor (Alpha 9) compared to the somewhat older B8 processor (Alpha 7). The C8 is able to do more of its rendering and fine tuning of the image that will likely matter to a high end user but won't make a huge difference to a typical user. The stand on the C8 is also a wider design. The panel, speakers and OS remain the same between the two. I went with the C8 because I've become a real nerd about image quality.
