  • QuestionCan this dryer stack with LG washer WM4000HWA? It seems like it should based on dimensions but I want to be sure before I purchase.

    Asked by Jack.

    • Answer Hi there, Jack. We understand your inquiry and appreciate you considering LG for your laundry setup. You’re looking at the DLHC5502W dryer and wondering if it will stack safely with your WM4000HWA washer. Let’s walk through what you need to know: First, the DLHC5502W dryer is designed to be stackable and pairs perfectly with front-load washers. Although its “Matching Washer Model Number” lists WM5500HWA and WM6500HWA, the key factor is that your WM4000HWA is also a front-load washer with the same 27″ width and nearly identical depth, so it meets the basic dimensional requirements. Troubleshooting Step: Before stacking, ensure both units are level on the floor and use the LG-approved Stacking Kit HSTK1B. This kit secures the dryer to the top of your WM4000HWA and includes brackets and hardware to prevent shifting or tipping. Double-check that you have at least 1″ of clearance around the stack for proper ventilation and door swing. https://www.bestbuy.com/site/lg-7-8-cu-ft-stackable-smart-electric-dryer-with-ventless-heat-pump-technology-white/6573534.p?skuId=6573534 We’re happy to help you verify compatibility and walk you through installation details—please send us a private message on Social Media @LGUSSupport so our team can explore all possible solutions and ensure your setup is safe and secure. Asked by Anonymous.

    • Answer Hi there! Thank you for your inquiry about the LG DLHC5502V electric dryer. We understand you're looking for a ventless dryer without a water tray. • QuestionIs the power cord included with this ventless dryer model ? If no, can I use the power cord from my old Whirlpool dryer for this LG dryer? If that is not allowed, where do I buy the right power cord for this?

    Asked by Anna.

    • Answer Hello, Anna. As indicated in its title, the Most Efficient ENERGY STAR®2024, Model # DLHC5502B, is an electric dryer, and like any other electric dryer, regardless of brand or manufacturer, the power cord (pigtail) connection between the wall receptacle and the dryer's terminal block IS NOT supplied with the appliance. Power cords are not supplied with electric dryers! Regrettably, without knowing anything about the power cord from your old dryer or its condition, we cannot advise you whether you can use it for this dryer. If your old power cord is in good condition and conforms to your electrical safety codes, you may not have to purchase a new one, but we advise you to consult with a qualified electrician to be sure you can use it. However, if the old power cord is frayed or worn, it's important to replace it. Best Buy sells power cords for electric dryers...^Ivan.

  • QuestionWhat is the time difference in drying time between vented and ventless dryers?

    Asked by JB.

    • Answer Thank you for reaching us regarding LG Dryer (DLHC5502W) model. Comparison of drying times between vented and ventless dryers is essential considering their distinct operating methods and energy efficiency. Vented Dryers: Vented dryers release hot, humid air outside through a vent. This continuous airflow enables efficient drying but can lead to potential energy waste and extended drying times. Ventless Dryers: Ventless dryers, like condenser and heat pump types, do not require an external vent. They efficiently dry clothes by recirculating and eliminating heated, moist air. While this method is energy-efficient and gentle, it may result in slightly longer drying times. Drying Time Variation: The drying time difference between vented and ventless dryers depends on factors like the model, load size, and clothes' moisture content. Generally, ventless dryers take a bit longer to dry due to their gentle and energy-efficient process compared to vented dryers.
