QuestionThe TV mode is not compatible with the Roku Media Player on my TCL TVs. It will play CDs, but not Blu-Ray or DVD. It is not converting to FAT32 as it says it should, and so I am unable to play these discs on my TV. Is mine working improperly?

- Answer I didn't have any luck either, went back and read instructions, sounds like it will do music, pics, and your video files, but not dvd or BD

QuestionDoes it play 4K blu-ray discs or just blu ray discs that are not 4K? (I understand it also plays/writes DVD/CDs). If it doesn't play 4K blu ray discs, is there an external drive that does?

- Answer Yes plug it into a usb port on your all in one the usb cord is small so it won't reach far unless you get an extender for it you will have to either download leawood media player or cyberlink media suite to watch movies with it

- Answer Yes, but you would need software to burn the blu-ray and the flash drive should be at least a 64GB drive since most blu-ray movies will take up around 30GB of space.

QuestionWhen you connect this unit to your TV, can you run a store bought DVD or Blu-Ray without being in TV Connectivity mode? When connecting in TV Connectivity mode it recognizes the disc file system as a FAT32 USB flash device and not as a DVD/Blu-Ray disc

QuestionMy spouse's new iMac does not have a DVD/CD player in it. He wants an external that will play game DVDs, videos and music CDs. The info on this unit seem to stress its WRITING capabilities. Does it also PLAY discs? He isn't interested in a rewriter.

- Answer I bought mine to watch movies, play games and my old compact disks to listen to music. It does all these things and can also burn compact discs. I am using mine with Windows 10, but on the box it states it is compatible with Mac OS X (10.7.5) .

- Answer Did not get a user manual with the Blu-Ray player and didn't need one to set it up. It comes with a disc and I just followed the installation instructions.

QuestionWill this work with two non-powered USB extenders? My desk is on the opposite side of the room from where my PC sits. The extenders would be 25 feet. If power extenders would work then please list that. Thanks

- Answer I am not a technical guru but I would say the more you double the extenders the less likely you’re going to get the work out of the product that you need. If you have one long cord less than 25 feet or around 25 feet that would probably be OK but to hook together two cords might reduce you’re ability To get the optimum use from your product.

- Answer I have not tried 4K DVDs in this Blu-ray DVD player. But it does not advertise that it can play 4K DVDs. So I would probably think that it will not.

QuestionI bought this to play blu ray movies on my laptop. I installed the software and updated it. it will play the audio of the movie only. i tried a DvD movie and it plays fine. what am i missing?

- Answer I paid additional money to put Power DVD onto my computer and the audio and visual are terrific. Some of the other software’s Do not seem to play the Blu-ray DVD very good or at all. That is why I purchased Power DVD. But for a decent price you might be able to get NXT creator pro and I believe power DVD comes with it but you’ll have to check the product line.

- Answer It can be used with a Chromebook but there are some major limitations to using a Chromebook with an external DVD or CD drive. External DVD drives aren’t officially supported on Chrome OS. Compatible Operating Systems include Windows 10, Windows 8.1, Windows 8, Windows 7, Windows Vista, Windows XP, and Mac OS X (v.10.7.5 or higher) . ^Daphane

- Answer The LG - 8x External USB 2.0 Blu-ray Disc Double-Layer DVD±RW/CD-RW Disc Rewriter, Model # BP50NB40 is compatible with Windows 10, Windows 8.1, Windows 8, Windows 7, Windows Vista, Windows XP, and Mac OS X v.10.7.5 or higher Operating Systems. It only connects to PC/Laptops via its USB port so it you don't have a USB port, there is no way to connect it to your MacBook Air 2018. The USB Y cable enables to receive power from two USB host sockets at once, while only transceiving data with one of those sockets. As long as the host has two available USB sockets, this enables the drive that requires more power than one USB port can supply to be used without requiring a mains adapter...^IFV
