QuestionSteam?The specifications for this washer on BestBuy.com state that this unit has a steam function (see attached image). However, I'm not finding any information/evidence in the reviews/questions or elsewhere online to support that feature. If there is one, please tell me about it. If there isn't one, I want Best Buy to know that it's really disappointing to spend many hours researching and comparing products on your website only to find out the spec. sheets on here are incorrect, incomplete, or misleading.

- Answer No, I leave the lid open after a wash to make sure the inside stays dry. Then I can close lid once it looks dry.

- Answer As long as you purchase new hoses for the washer (approx. $30) Best Buy will hookup a new washer at no additional cost beyond delivery cost (if any) provided that you have an existing shutoff valve for the water behind the washer and no adapters are needed. The protection plan for an appliance can be found if you place the item in the cart (it will prompt you to add a protection plan).

- Answer Hello Cathie2024. Thank you for your inquiry on the LG - TurboWash 5.2 Cu. Ft. 12-Cycle Mega-Capacity High-Efficiency Top-Loading Washer - Model # WT5480CW. The cabinet for this unit is listed as PCM which is not a plastic, PCM is a kind of compound metal sheet rolled with color coating, usually about 0.3mm ~ 1.2mm thickness of cold rolled steel, galvanized steel, or aluminum alloy plate and other metal sheets that has wear-resistant, corrosion-resistant, oil-resistant, and easy-wash properties. The Drum is a NeveRust™ Stainless Steel Drum, hence the lifetime warranty on it and the Washer has an Inverter Direct Drive Motor which has a 10 year warranty on it. Direct drive motors negate the need for a belt for the motor and have far fewer mechanical parts which is why LG gives such a big warranty on the motor...IFV

- Answer I agree. Clothes come out very wrinkled. The technic I use is I set it up to low spin to reduce the wrinkle.

QuestionAre the uE (Unbalanced Load) Issues fixed on these machines yet?After reading many reviews online regarding this issue. I would like to know that this issue is resolved? I know there was a recall in 2013, but I'm still seeing many complaints. Surprisingly, I don't see them on the Best Buy reviews though.

- Answer We had a Maytag Bravo and know about unbalanced loads. Just purchased a 12 cycle LG 5.2 and have washed comforters, bulky loads (sweatshirts, towels, jeans, bed sheets) and mixed loads (sheets with towels) and haven't seen an unbalanced load yet. Our Maytag Bravo couldn't handle a quilt or a mixed load (sheets & towels). The washer seems to handle things well but you probably need to use the right wash cycle.
