QuestionDoes it work with Windows 10?I only see Mac as a operating system!

- Answer Not even sure why OS is a question here... network protocols work across all platforms. The administrative software for the router is software in the router itself and you access it via the IP address of the router... as long as you have a capable internet browser (chrome, IE, Edge, etc...) you are fine. Use of an Ethernet port is preferred for setting up the router though.. you can do it via wireless, but can result in loss of connections and having to reestablish it. Also, if you have issues with the router and lose wireless, you kind of need Ethernet to try to get in there an fix it or you have to do a router reset.

- Answer It is made to optimize your Internet service so if you have streaming service such as a roku device and want to stream with services like netflix or hulu yes it is possible but mainly this increases your Internet speeds and prevents bog down to allow you a better expierence for multiple devices like streaming gaming downloading or surfing

- Answer because you are a guest it do sent save. you need to use the main line for it to remember your phone and know it's password

- Answer Yes you do. Between iPads,iPhones, streaming devices, Home devices, etc. we have over 20 devices that require wifi. With this new router we were able to set up half of the devices on another network. Everything now runs faster.

QuestionPresales questions on Linksys WRT1750AC (AC1200) routerI’m looking to replace a Netgear WiFi router running DD-WRT and need to confirm some information I’ve been told before purchasing it’s replacement, currently I’m looking at a WRT1750AC. 1. I want to user the WRT1750AC as an access point. Routing and DHCP will be performed via the existing wired network. Basically this will be a WiFi bridge into the existing network, using the same IP address space. I’ve been unable to find anything in the online documentation regarding use as an Access Point, does this device have an access point mode? 2. My current configuration uses WPA2/AES (personal) with a passphrase that contains special characters, to include spaces. To date I’ve only discovered one manufacturer that doesn’t support spaces in the passphrase (Amped Wireless). Changing the current passphrase is not an option. Does this device support special characters (to include spaces) in the passphrase when using WPA2/AES?

- Answer 1. yes you can use either router as an access port. I set it up for someone's warehouse with two access points. 2. yes you can make the password anything you want, even spaces.

QuestionI want to upgrade my EA6900 router possibly to an EA8500. It is operating in LAN/LAN wired bridge mode. I can first set up the Guest Network in normal router mode, then switch to Bridge mode, and the guest network works perfectly. Can EA8500 do this?

Questionim having big issues with this, i got an arris sb6190 that works perfectly i get my full 300 mbps down 30mbps up when directly connected. i bought this to combo with it but this router cant get more than 43 mbps down 1mbpsup is this normal?

- Answer I learned recently that download speed is on thing, but the outbound port on my cable modem was limited to 30mps. So I have 1GB ethernet and 800mps wifi in the house that get slowed down when they hit the cable modem. Not sure if this is what you are seeing.

QuestionIn what position do you place the antennas for ether vertical mounting on a wall or flat against a ceiling? The instructions only show table top, There are mounting holes for wall or ceiling, is that ok? thanks

QuestionWe get significantly slower up&download speeds via the Ethernet connection thru this router than with WIFI or by connecting PC directly to the cable modem. we've swapped cables and it's still the same. Any suggestions or is this a bad unit?

- Answer Probably a bad device. Internet connection speeds are lets say around 75Mbps in some areas... the wireless and wired transfer rates are way above this so you should be capped by your internet connection speed. If one is significantly slower than the other, it could be a bad device. One other thing to look at is if the drivers for the Ethernet adapters in the computer are up to date and working properly and there are no hardware issues going on there... if you can try another device via Ethernet and see if it experiences the same slow connection.

QuestionWill this work on my Charter network? I'm paying for 100 Mbps, but can only get that on or near my router in the basement. I live in a two story house, and get about 43 Mbps in our 1st level (used the most), to a paltry 25 Mbps upstairs. Better range?

- Answer Yes, JimFromIL, the Linksys EA8500 can deliver a better range since it's already MU-MIMO Gigabit Router that supports data rates up to 800 Mbps for 2.4 GHz and 1733 Mbps for 5 GHz band with a combined data rate speed of up to 2.53 Gbps. However, the range will still differ especially with physical obstructions (e.g. thick walls) and wireless interferences from other networks. - Answer For wifi it has no limits but 254 max IP can be assigned at one time, but it will recycle the IP physically there are only 4 cat5/6 sockets behind the router for wired connection that will be 4, but you can using a switch to easily expanded it's limit.
