- Answer The extender boosts the WiFi signal by connecting to your router. The extender will need to be setup via a WPS connection at close range. You will need to have access to the router settings in order to do this. Once set up there is an minimum and maximum range the extender will work. If your camping close to a router it should give you a strong connection.

- Answer If you use wi fi in your house to use your cell phone yes. Go to your settings on your phone and turn on wifi. Then search for the signal that has ext at the end of it and connect to that band. Then select it on your phone. You may have to reenter your password which would be your normal password.
