QuestionDoes this have any kind of required monthly draining? I currently have a Samsung and it has a small panel on the front left. I have to drain the gray water, then clean the filter. I was interested in purchasing this set but not if it requires draining.

- Answer So, this was my quesiton... i purchased this washer and matching dryer and they do in fact fit perfectly on the xhp1550vw pedestal. Even thought Maytag told me "No", it does work. Saved $600 by reusing my old pedestal.

QuestionWhy will this not stack under an older Maytag dryer with a stacking kit ?

- Answer Hi strav, the sets are matched for size and for weight and motion distribution specifically so they can also be used together when stacked, as are the stacking kits. Many newer models will have different weights, cycles, bigger drums, and even different wash technology. For these reasons, we can only recommend stacking matched sets.

QuestionThe opening for the washer drain is 2" in diameter - edge to edge. The hookup itself is 3 1/2" diameter. Will the washer drain hose for this Maytage model and Whirlpool model WFW6220HW fit? If not is there an adapter kit I can purchase. Tx.
