A:AnswerI meant the drain plug that you drain the water out of? I currently have an LG which I bought from you and the drain plug is at the bottom left corner. I can nolonger get down to drain it after each load so I am searching for something that doesn't have one. I didn't see one on the Maytag washer so this is the reason for my inquiry?
A:AnswerYes it's needed, I made the mistake of removing it myself, it helps with keeping the flow of the detergent enter slowly so as not to add too much, without it you could add a whole bottle of detergent and and over soap your clothes, Ask me how I know......

A:AnswerI have a pair of Maytag front loading washer/dryer over 20 years and never had problems. The washer digital panel failed just a month ago so I replaced another Maytag washer from Best Buy again. I trust Maytag performance and believe older model does not mean it is not good.

A:AnswerYou don’t have to clean drain pump filter on this one. Only the ones that have a small panel on the bottom of the washer are required to drain and clean.
A:AnswerMy husband drilled a hole in the front. This was after we were forced to take the top and entire front panel off in order to access the pump drain. This was heavy, difficult work. We think this is Maytag using up old parts (whatever was available at the time) and hoping people don’t notice the HUGE problems created by their actions.
