QuestionMy clothes came out soaking. It’s was my first time using the washer. What did I do wrong? I used the normal load and extra spin cycle. It was like it never went through the spin cycle.

QuestionWhere is the drain plug?

- Answer I meant the drain plug that you drain the water out of? I currently have an LG which I bought from you and the drain plug is at the bottom left corner. I can nolonger get down to drain it after each load so I am searching for something that doesn't have one. I didn't see one on the Maytag washer so this is the reason for my inquiry?

QuestionRemoved dispenser from washer, lifted off the the top tray, and I see on the left side where detergent goes a small divider that is not shown in the manual (see picture). Is it needed?

- Answer Yes it's needed, I made the mistake of removing it myself, it helps with keeping the flow of the detergent enter slowly so as not to add too much, without it you could add a whole bottle of detergent and and over soap your clothes, Ask me how I know......

QuestionI ordered the 5500 series washer and dryer on September 25th. Every three weeks my salesman tells me Maytag has pushed it out another three weeks. My new laundry room is empty. Now it looks like the 6630 series is replacing it. What is going on?

- Answer I have a pair of Maytag front loading washer/dryer over 20 years and never had problems. The washer digital panel failed just a month ago so I replaced another Maytag washer from Best Buy again. I trust Maytag performance and believe older model does not mean it is not good.

QuestionWhen the washer says a minute left to finish load, why does it take like 10 minutes to finish the load?

- Answer The 1 min is only an estimated time. If the sensors sense the spin needs to go longer, it over-rides the 1 min and spins until more moisture is out.

- Answer "Normal" is 55 minutes. Add steam, hot, extra rinse... everything, and its 3 hours 11 minutes. You read that correctly. Over three hours.

QuestionHow can I remove the front panel of model MHW5630HW. My older Maytag had a simple bottom panel. This new one is less then a year old and I am trying to remove front panel to check drain pump clamps. This model is one big front panel.Please advise Thanks

- Answer You don’t have to clean drain pump filter on this one. Only the ones that have a small panel on the bottom of the washer are required to drain and clean.

- Answer My husband drilled a hole in the front. This was after we were forced to take the top and entire front panel off in order to access the pump drain. This was heavy, difficult work. We think this is Maytag using up old parts (whatever was available at the time) and hoping people don’t notice the HUGE problems created by their actions.
