QuestionOK I have my Xbox in the living room hooked up wired but I have 2 hdmi ports in it so can I get one of these and plug it up in my bed room so that I could play in both rooms if I wanted to?

- Answer Unfortunately the Wireless Display Adapter needs a device with a screen in order to cast the display up onto a second screen. Since the Xbox alone does not have this, it will not be able to display in the other room. To clarify, there are two HDMI ports on the Xbox, however one is for input and one is for output, so the second HDMI port you are referring to is specifically for input, so the Wireless Display Adapter would not be able to cast the display from this port in particular.

- Answer No, but you could use a Chromecast with this and you can cast your desktop from the Chrome web browser. It will be higher latency (you will notice delay when you move the mouse etc) but it works well for many things.

- Answer I did! First time ever! Example: I moved the VLC movie window I was watching from a flash-drive over to the TV, put the movie in full screen mode... and viola! My laptop screen was open for business to do whatever else I wanted to do. I amazed myself.

- Answer You will want to install the Wireless Display Adapter app (free in the Windows Store) regardless but you can use that app to update your Wireless Display Adapters and, more importantly for you, name them. So you can name them based on the TV their connected to like "Living Room", "LG", "Sony", "Left", "Right", etc.

- Answer Yes, it will work...as long as you have HDMI port on the monitor. Surface for sure, under Settingss go to display, works great up to 23 feet, not 24 or 25, 23 maximum.

- Answer My V2 model is on Firmware version 1.3.8365 I don't know why your older one has been disabled. We have a V1 at work and it still works just fine. I'm not sure which firmware version that one is.

- Answer This device powers itself from the usb port on your tv, it plugs ito the hmdi port on one end and then the other end plugs into the usb port on the tv also. I have two of these devices and both work nicely. One of the tv's takes a minute or so before the unit comes on.

- Answer This will work with most any Intel based Laptop that has Windows 8.1 or later pre-installed on it. The key technical term to look for is not Miracast, but WiDi.

QuestionTo clarify for my Motorala Droid turbo 2 phone. This device can work with my phone because it has cast under settings with option for enable wireless display so I will not need anything (wifi or other hdwre) to stream videos etc. Using hotspot on phone.
