- Answer I bought this phone at Best Buy yesterday and am also an existing cricket customer. I called cricket prior to swapping my sim card(per another persons advice). They updated the imei # from the new phone and checked to verify data/phone connection were operating properly..it took just five minutes for me to complete. This is a great phone and value in my opinion.

- Answer Hi DW, thanks for your interest. If you are a current subscriber, all you need to do is insert the SIM from the previous phone into the new one. If you are not a subscriber to any of the service providers or you want to switch from one provider to another, you need to sign-up with them to activate service. - Mike

- Answer When you purchase a phone that cricket supports, such as the moto g6, a new sim card comes with the phone. You can either call cricket customer service or go to their website and give them the information. The website gives very good instructions as to where and how to find the information needed. Then ask to keep your old phone number. I had to do this with the phone I just bought.

- Answer Yes, you are able to use your old phone number, provided you did not cancel your service and cricket did not give the number to someone else. If you did not cancel your service and cricket supports the phone, the phone you buy comes with a new sim card in the packaging. Go to the cricket website and select "bring your own phone " or "use our own phone " and simply follow the instructions. You need some information from the card the sim card is attached to, and some information from the new phone. You could also call customer service. Before calling go the the website and look where the information is that you need to provide. Then ask to keep you old number.

- Answer You need to ask the provider of your service. If you are using cricket, go to the website and look at all the service plans they have. If you use Verizon, AT&T, or any of the other providers, simply go to the appropriate website and look at the service plans.

- Answer You could go to the website and look at the coverage map. Or you can sign up for the service, get the cheapest service plan you can. Hopefully you are able to use your phone or buy a cheap one from cricket. Once they activate the phone use it everywhere you can for a month. Then you can cancel if you don't get the reception you like.
