• Yes it will run as soon as she puts it in the device. But it then depends on the size of her sim card, the phone uses the smalles size sim card. So if she does not have then she will have to order a new sim card for that size before she can use it.

I would suggest contacting your preferred service provider to see if this phone will work with their service.
