QuestionThis phone does not support VoLTE. It will no longer function on the T-Mobile Network after January 2021. In this day and age why would Motorola and Best Buy not disclose this to customer??? (VoLTE provisioned flag is whited out and not selectable)

QuestionI am currently with Verizon and would like to stay with them. Does the Moto g8 power work with Verizon? They said I need the IMEI #, but I have to buy the phone to get the #. If it does not work, can I return the phone? Thank You

- Answer Good Morning, I bought the new Moto Power and it's been the best phone decision I have ever made. Like you, I am also with Verizon and was a little worried about switching to a phone that Verizon does not sell online or in their stores (they do sell Moto Phones - just not a lot). My experience was when I ordered it online, Best Buy.com gave me the option of choosing my carrier which I clicked on Verizon. They sent the phone with the Verizon sim card and once I put in the card and turned it on. I was good to go. Verizon does charge a one time activation fee. You should have no issues with returns. Go to BB website and to the chat box. Ask them what the return policy is (it's usually 15 days). I hope this helps? Mark

- Answer No--Not on Verizon. Didn't know this until I purchased the phone and spent an hour on a call with a Verizon rep. It was a deal breaker, so I had to return it. Bought the Verizon version on their website.

QuestionMy service is currently with AT&T on a family plan. If I buy the "activate later" version of the unlocked phone can I simply remove my current SIM Card from my current phone and place it in the new phone and be on my way? Nothing else needs to be done?

- Answer I am also on an AT&T plan, long out of contract and not interested in getting tied into a new contract. I purchased this phone under the activate later option, and it worked just fine without having to involve anyone at AT&T. I bought mine in the store, and my Best Buy rep used their adapter equipment to transfer all of my personal files over to the new phone from my ancient HTC One. Very smooth process!

- Answer One review I saw yesterday online (it was written around 28-29 Mar) "thought" that 16 April was the release date. Of course, he could be wrong or things could be delayed with all this Corona stuff. Hoping it is a good date as I'm waiting on it. Tired of short battery life.

QuestionWhat does unlocked meen for a cell phone.

- Answer Locked means that the phone can only be used with a particular carrier (probably because they sold it to you at a discounted price). A locked phone has to be unlocked (or released) by that carrier which may or may not be possible, or only after you have used (and paid for) their service for a certain time. Unlocked means that it is not TIED to a particular carrier, not that it will work with *any* carrier. This phone is both GSM and CDMA capable, which covers all major US carriers, but some phones are GSM-only or CDMA-only and will only work with some carriers, but not others.

- Answer Yes, Moto G(8) Power & Stylus smartphone models, support Wi-Fi 2.4GHz & 5GHz bands. Has Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ac) (supports a/b/g/n/ac). (Using 5GHz connection can sometimes have greater network data speed than 2.4GHz, & less interference with other wireless devices, though 5GHz tends to have shorter distance range while 2.4GHz may connect better at longer distances or thru/around objects.)

- Answer If you hold the phone vertically (shorter dimension sideways), then one speaker is at the top facing to the front (this one would be to your ear if you hold the phone up to the side of your head), and the other is on the opposite edge (the bottom) facing neither the front nor the back.

- Answer For a case, check for the "Moto G Power". No generation necessary. I found many cases online, and my pick cautioned me that this case was for the Moto G Power only. Same company also sold Moto G8 Power cases. Don't get for the Moto G8 Power. Similar internals, but different dimensions. Don't get for the Moto G Stylus. different dimensions.

- Answer It has Google Assistant built in, which can dial numbers and send messages for you. Very helpful for disabilities. On the keyboard for all apps is also the microphone icon for talking to text. It's a great phone especially for the cost. I've had mine since released 2 months ago. Hope that helps
