Pretty much, but I had a problem with Best Buy requiring an additional $40 payment for Verizon activation. After that it was easy to get a SIM card activated and my existing number switched to the new phone
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, You just remove the SIM card from your current phone and insert into your new "unlocked" phone.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I know that Best Buy was selling this for two different prices; one with activation in the store (the lower price) and one unlocked for activation by whatever phone store the customer took it to. Since I was replacing and old phone on an existing contract, I wasn't going to be activating it in the store and ended up going for the higher priced option. That price was still better than what I would have paid at my phone store (Verizon). Your mileage may vary.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Of course! You have the option of transferring the number when ordering the phone online or having the Best Buy mobile salesperson transfer it at the time of purchase. No need to contact Verizon for this service.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes indeed. That's what I did. Even with the Verizon $40 activation fee, it was still a bargain. They are still selling it for $279 and still add the $40 fee.
