An unlocked phone is not tied to a particular service provider. When you put your SIM card in, and your phone connects to a cell tower, the info on the SIM card identifies your service provider. If the tower has that provider available, then you will connect and be able to use it. If the tower only has different providers, then you will not be connected to their network. So, if your provider is Straight Talk, and you put your SIM card from them on this phone, then you should be able to connect to the Straight Talk system.
