Yes, this modem is Cox-approved. What's more, it is a high-speed modem. It is not, however, a dual-band modem with 2 & 5 GHz. With 2 GHz interference, your wifi speeds may suffer, especially if you use more than 2 devices on your network. The benefit is that you will not have to pay to rent their equipment monthly anymore. In my case, that was $9/mo ($108/year)... what could you do with that back in your pocket again?
